Product description

The CaddxFPV GM3 V2 is a compact 3-axis camera gimbal with head tracking for digital FPV systems. It was developed specifically for cameras in the Walksnail Avatar and Ascent series and provides mechanical image stabilization as well as active camera control across three axes. Weighing just 48 g, the gimbal is suitable for FPV drones, long-range aircraft, RC cars, and RC boats.

Thanks to its 3-axis stabilization, the GM3 V2 compensates for movements around the pitch, roll, and yaw axes. This reduces vibrations and unwanted camera movements, resulting in smoother FPV footage and a more stable live feed. Caddx specifies a high stabilization accuracy of ±0.005°.

A special highlight is the built-in head-tracking feature. When used with compatible Walksnail FPV goggles and video systems, the camera can track the pilot’s head movements. When the pilot turns or tilts their head, the camera moves accordingly. This enables a particularly immersive FPV experience, allowing the line of sight to be adjusted independently of the flight or travel direction.

The Caddx GM3 V2 supports various control protocols, including UART, S.Bus, CRSF, MAVLink, and PWM. This allows the gimbal to be flexibly integrated into a variety of RC and FPV systems. In addition to direct head-tracking control, other control solutions are therefore also possible.

With a controllable range of motion of ±160° yaw, ±120° pitch, and ±60° roll, the gimbal offers ample scope for dynamic camera movements. According to the manufacturer, the maximum control speed is ±1500° per second.

The GM3 V2 is designed for Walksnail Avatar and Ascent cameras with mounting widths of 19 and 20 mm, respectively. The operating voltage ranges from 9 to 25.2 V DC, allowing it to be powered by suitable 3S to 6S LiPo systems.
