Product description

The SEQURE S99 is a compact and powerful digital soldering iron for FPV drones, RC models, electronics, and repair work. It is compatible with C245 soldering tips and combines high heating power with a handy design. This is particularly useful when building and repairing FPV drones: from fine signal cables to larger power connections, the various soldering tips cover a wide range of soldering tasks.

This model comes with four different soldering tips—K, I, B1, and BC2—included. This ensures you have the right tip shape for both delicate electronics work and larger soldering areas and cable connections. According to the manufacturer, the included S99 soldering tips have a resistance of approximately 5.5 Ω.

The temperature range can be adjusted from 50 to 500 °C. An intelligent temperature control algorithm ensures precise temperature regulation and supports both temperature compensation and self-calibration. This is particularly helpful for varying soldering tasks where the tip needs to return to its set temperature as quickly as possible after working on larger solder joints.

The S99 is pleasantly unpicky when it comes to power sources. It supports USB Power Delivery (PD) 2.0/3.0, Quick Charge (QC) 2.0/3.0, PPS, and DC power supplies up to a maximum of 21 V. The maximum power output depends on the soldering tip and power supply used. SEQURE specifies up to 75 W for a 5.5-Ω tip and up to 150 W for separately available 2.5-Ω tips.

An integrated 128 × 32-pixel OLED display shows the most important operating information directly on the soldering iron. Additionally, the S99 features a buzzer for status notifications. The display can be rotated for left- or right-handed users, and the temperature display can be switched between °C and °F. Firmware updates are also supported.

The housing is made of a high-temperature-resistant industrial material and has undergone an antistatic treatment. Weighing just 22 g for the handpiece, the S99 remains pleasantly compact—a rather useful alternative to soldering stations that take up about as much space on the workbench as a small principality.
