The SkyRC S65neo is a compact and powerful AC charger and discharger for LiPo, LiHV, Li-Ion, LiFe, NiMH, NiCd, and lead-acid batteries. Despite its compact dimensions of just 84 × 84 × 45.3 mm, the charger delivers up to 65 W of charging power and 10 A of charging current. Thanks to its built-in AC power supply, the S65neo can be plugged directly into a 100–240 V outlet—no separate power adapter is required.

Of particular interest to FPV and RC pilots is its support for 2S to 4S LiPo, LiHV, Li-Ion, and LiFe batteries. In addition, it can charge 6–8S NiMH/NiCd batteries as well as 6- or 12-V lead-acid batteries. The battery is connected via the XT60 main connector, while the balancer connector monitors the voltages of the individual cells and balances them at up to 500 mA per cell.

In addition to standard charging, the S65neo offers the Balance Charge, Charge, Storage, and Discharge modes for lithium batteries. This allows you not only to charge batteries but also, for example, to bring them to the appropriate storage voltage. The discharge function operates at up to 2 A or 10 W.

For NiMH and NiCd batteries, the S65neo offers additional functions such as Re-Peak and charge/discharge cycles. Lead-acid batteries are also supported, including Normal, AGM, and Cold Charge modes. This makes the small charger significantly more versatile than its pocket-sized dimensions might initially suggest.

The integrated battery meter displays not only the total voltage but also the voltage of individual cells and the battery’s internal resistance. Especially for frequently used FPV and RC batteries, the internal resistance is a useful indicator for detecting aging or abnormal cells at an early stage.

Operation is handled via the intuitive SkyRC ColorX interface and three buttons. The menu language can be set to German, among other options. A temperature-controlled fan automatically adjusts its speed based on load and temperature.

Another practical feature is the adjustable DC power supply output. The S65neo can provide an output voltage of 6 to 17 V at 0.5 to 9 A and a maximum of 65 W. This allows it to power suitable RC accessories such as pit lights, tire warmers, or tire grinders.

Firmware updates can be performed via the USB-C port using the SkyRC Charger Master software.
