GPS Rescue Setup, including Installation and Test Flight

A fail-safe or the loss of the video signal at the wrong moment can spell the end for your drone without GPS equipment. The “GPS Rescue” feature in Betaflight automatically guides your drone back toward you in an emergency. However, to ensure the system works reliably in a real emergency, the installation angle, satellite configuration, and rescue parameters must be set exactly right.

One of our technicians will professionally install the GPS module and handle all software configuration for you. With over 13 years of experience in the FPV field, we not only ensure clean wiring but also test the rescue system in a real flight after configuration. You’ll get your copter back with an emergency function you can rely on.

Scope of this service product:

• Hardware installation & soldering: Professional wiring and mounting of the GPS module on your frame.
• Optimized positioning: Placing the module at the correct angle and at a sufficient distance from interfering components (such as the VTX or action cam) to ensure a quick satellite lock (GPS lock).
• Betaflight configuration: Activation of the GPS feature, setup of telemetry data, and precise configuration of rescue parameters (minimum altitude, climb rate, return speed, and fail-safe behavior).
• OSD Setup: Integration of key GPS data (such as number of satellites, distance from the takeoff point, and arrow pointing home) into your goggle display.
• Physical test flight and report: One of our technicians flies the copter and tests the GPS rescue function in flight to verify that the autonomous return works correctly. At the end, you’ll receive a report detailing the settings your GPS was configured with.

What we need from you:

• Your flight-ready drone.
• The GPS module to be installed, along with the appropriate mount (if not ordered from our store).
• Your remote control and your FPV goggles (required for the test flight and OSD check).
