What does the Lumenier ParaGuard PRO protect you from?

The ParaGuard PRO has several built-in protections that prevent a mistake or simple failure from causing unnecessary damage to your board, your batteries, or even your property.

Protects against plugging in different cell counts at the same time

If you accidentally plug in a 3-cell battery and a 4-cell battery at the same time, the self-resetting fuse bus will be triggered by the high current surge generated during plug-in. This protects your battery and board and allows you to easily correct the mistake and start charging!

Protects against incorrect sequence when plugging in the compensating cable

If you're not careful, you may plug in one of your balancing cables in the wrong position, causing a short circuit. With the ParaGuard Pro, this is not a problem! It automatically triggers a self-resetting fuse. Simply unplug the cable and plug it back in in the correct position, and it's ready to go again.

Protects against power surges

Self-resetting fuses protect against high current surges. This protects your circuit board and batteries if a high current short circuit occurs during a battery failure. It also protects if you accidentally connect a 2s and a 3s battery to the board at the same time. (Please do not try this on purpose!)

Safety first!

Safety is always an important issue when parallel charging, and you should always take it seriously and never leave a charged battery unattended. It is extremely important to check the individual cells of each battery before connecting them together on the parallel board! If you find that the voltage of one cell does not match the other, do not charge it together with the others in parallel (we recommend a difference in the range of 0.1 V to charge together).

Safety Protection Features

XT-60 Connector Protection: in the event of an accidental short circuit of the XT-60 circuit, the LCD will display "AAA" and the connection will be automatically disconnected by self-resetting fuses.
Parallel Voltage Protection: In the event of a large voltage difference between the batteries connected to the XT-60 terminals, the LCD will display "AAA" as a warning and the connection will be automatically disconnected by self-resetting fuses.
Protection of the battery equalization connection: In the event of a short circuit in the equalization terminal, the self-resetting thermal fuse protects the terminal from damage.
