SkyRC Temperature Sensor for SkyRC Chargers
When charging LiPo batteries, an often-overlooked factor can make all the difference in terms of safety and battery life: temperature. This is exactly where the SkyRC Temperature Sensor comes in—a small but crucial upgrade for your charging setup.
After all, batteries are essentially chemical reactors. When they’re charging, electrochemical processes take place that generate heat. A slight rise in temperature is normal—but if it gets too high, it can become critical. The sensor acts as an early warning system: It continuously measures the temperature directly at the battery and transmits this data to your SkyRC charger.
As soon as thresholds are reached, the charger can react automatically—for example, by stopping the charging process. This isn’t a luxury, but applied physics with a safety bonus.
The setup is intentionally kept simple: connect the sensor, attach it to the battery, and you’re done. Thanks to the included Velcro strap, it stays securely in place and measures reliably. The only important thing is to ensure direct contact with the battery—no stickers or dirt in between, because heat transfer is a pretty straightforward process.
In short: This little tool adds an extra layer of control and protects your batteries—and thus your equipment as well.
