TBS Crossfire Diamond Antenna by IBCrazy (TX)
Product description
THE Crossfire TX ANTENNA, TO GET THEM ALL OUT!
Antenna alignment, wear, and non-directionality have been the cause of some range issues for our long range and miniquad pilots. So we sat down with IBCrazy and he designed this antenna to be as robust as possible. A diamond lasts forever!
MORE RANGE
With a slight directivity to give you more range when flying in front of you, but still maintain a solid connection when flying behind you. The antenna uses the ground you're standing on to reflect, boosting your signal beyond what conventional antennas can handle.
FROM THE MAN HIMSELF
"The story behind the Diamond antenna:
A few pilots were experiencing dropouts at seemingly random times. I investigated 4 cases and found that all dropouts all occurred in the same relative azimuth. It was obvious that conductive earth caused a null between the azimuth of 0-5 and 15-20 degrees. This was not a crossfire problem at all! I was a problem with the ground they were standing on!
To fix this problem, I designed an antenna that could not only resist the effect of the ground, but also track along it for low-level flights. This required a balanced closed loop structure. The result was the TBS Diamond antenna."
